Corn Pickle Festival
Saturday August 19th 2017, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
It is time again for our 7th annual Corn and Pickle Festival. You can spend a day at our farm and learn how to can pickles as Cathy Cabalo will take you through the process step by step. Once you know how to can pickles you will be so inspired you can pick up your cucumbers to can some of your own. We will have Hay Rides on our new Wagon and Tours of the Egg Washing Room.
There will be old fashion children’s games, Three legged races and potato bag races to name a few. We also have a viewing zoo where the kids can meet Sappy and her calf, Little man or Bob our resident goats. We also have Baba the sheep who needs just as much attention as the goats because he will get very jealous. Various Rabbits, ducks, chickens and Turkeys.
Darcy’s Bake Shoppe will be here with a lot of pies and cupcakes, and a huge selection of unique jelly’s made from hot peppers, garlic, Bacon and wine. You just have to taste them to believe it.
Cowboy Cafe Concessions will be offering Tater Tornatos, Finger Steaks and Chicken Strips. They will also be grilling a special hamburger using Vogel Farms GMO Free ground beef.
Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, sit on the lawn and enjoy a glass of wine from Indian Creek and sample Eden Creamery cheese.
GMO Free Idaho will be here to answer all of your questions about GMO’s and share the new information they just learned at a GMO free conference in Boston.
Devin Vogel and Mike Lester will be here with their 4-H Fair projects and will be happy to talk to you about their adventure.
We will have Sweet Corn available to buy!
